Mrs. Mavis Bell, 88, of LaFayette, Alabama died Wednesday May 21, 2025 at her residence.
She was born May 8, 1937 in Meriwether County Georgia to the late Thomas Morgan and the late Della Ross Morgan.
Mrs. Bell was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bell retired from Russell Corp. after 20 years of service. Prior to that she worked at Playtex.
Mrs. Bell is survived by three sons, Thomas Roy (Pinky) Bell of Ocean Springs, Ms, Terry Michael (Robin) Bell of Douglasville, Ga, Troy Cecil Bell of LaFayette, Al, four grandchildren, Scotty Bell, Dimere Crute, Desmond Crute, Kaitlin Bell, David Strickland and two great grandchildren, Daisy and Zane.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Aubrey Eggleton, and sister, Annie Pearl Sherrer.
Service will be held Saturday, May 31 at 1:00 pm CST at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend John Clark officiating. Burial will follow at LaFayette City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:00 pm CST at Antioch Baptist Church prior to the service.
