Ms. Linda Welch 82, of LaFayette, Alabama died Friday July 9, 2021 at the East Alabama Medical Center.
Linda was born in Chambers County December 7, 1938 to the late Otis Lee Welch and the late Gladys Davis Welch, she was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in LaFayette, she graduated from Southern Union in nursing May 1981 and received her nurse's license in September 1981, she retired as a Registered Nurse having worked at Geo. H. Lanier Hospital and the Beverly Health Care, after retirement she farmed and gardened and loved her flowers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11AM (CT) at the Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Goodwin officiating with burial to follow at the Sims Cemetery.
The family will receive friends a the church Monday from 10 AM until 11 AM prior to the service.
She is survived by 3 Daughters-Robin Brown of Five Points, Al., Kay Brooks of LaFayette, Al., Tammy (Don) Ingram of Marvyn, Al., 2 Grandchildren Mary Katherine Conner, and Elizabeth Halsey, 4 Great Grandchildren Jackson Conner, Thomas Halsey, Melody Halsey and Elizabeth Ann Halsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sister Peggy Fleckenstein and Brother Larry Welch.
