Mrs. Kathlyn Smith 89 of LaFayette, Alabama died Wednesday August 15, 2018 at the Russellville Health Care in Russellville, Alabama.
Mrs. Smith was born April 21, 1929 in Chambers County, Alabama to the late Grady Hinkle and the late Louise Slaughter Hinkle, she had been employed at the James C. Morgan Detention Facility as the kitchen manager and prior to that she was retired from Playtex International. in LaFayette. She was a member of the Center Baptist Church in Ridge Grove.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 18, 2018 at 2PM at the Center Baptist Church with burial to follow at the LaFayette City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 1PM until 2PM prior to the service.
She is survived by her Daughter-Kathy (Jerry) Scott of Vina, Al., Grandson-Jamie Sellers of Pontotoc, Ms., Granddaughter-Dawn Sellers of Birmingham, Al., Sisters-Fay White of Florence, Al., Evelyn Wambles of Montgomery, Al., Btothers-Jimmy Hinkle of Jackson's Gap. Al., Ronnie Hinkle of Opelika, Al., Larry Hinkle of Wetumpka, Al.
She was preceded in death by her Husband-Marvin Smith, Son-Tony Smith, 3 Brothers-Charles Hinkle, Edd Hinkle and William Hinkle.
