Jennie Rea Davis Warner, 96, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away on September 12, 2025. She was born in Lanett, Alabama, on January 12, 1929, to the late Sadye Norman Davis and Ernest Eugene Davis. She was the second of four children.
Jennie attended Georgia State College for Women and LaGrange College. On October 29, 1949, she married the love of her life and best friend, Robert "Bobby" Warner. They shared a beautiful life of 56 years together and had two children, Rob and Janey.
Jennie’s deep and abiding faith was a cornerstone of her life. Though raised as a Baptist, she spent most of her years as an active member of the Methodist Church. After moving to Florida, she found a new spiritual home in a non-denominational church, demonstrating a dedication to her faith that transcended specific denominations.
Jennie was an active participant in all her church communities. She consistently led or participated in Bible studies, sharing her knowledge and passion for scripture with others. For 14 years, she was a dedicated member of Bible Study Fellowship. In the women’s Bible study she attended before her death, Jennie was a revered resource; her fellow members often turned to her for help finding specific verses. Her remarkable ability to quote scripture, including the chapter and verse, was a testament to her deep study and devotion. Her favorite verse, Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," perfectly encapsulated her reliance on her faith for strength.
Beyond her knowledge of scripture, Jennie will be remembered for her special graciousness and loving Christian spirit. Her gentle demeanor, beautiful smile, and kindness to all served as a living example of her faith. She was a true role model for how a loving Christian should act, leaving behind a legacy of grace that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Jennie is survived by her son Robert Warner Jr. (Jean) and daughter Jane W. Allen (Bill). She was also cherished by her six grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.
