Mr. Homer Elliott, Jr., 84 of LaFayette, Alabama died Saturday September 1, 2018 at the LaFayette Nursing Home.
Mr. Elliott was born June 25, 1934 in Clay County, Alabama to the late Homer Herndon Elliott, Sr. and the late Alena Childs Elliott, he retired from the maintenance department with the Chambers County Board Of Education, and was a member of the Penton Church Of God In Penton, Alabama. He was a lively and colorful man.
Mr. Elliott is survived by 3 Children- Rickey (Jane) Elliott of LaFayette, Al., LaDonna (Steve) Hendrix of Waverly, Al., Elisa Elliott of Columbus, Ga., Sister-Faye (George) Rittelmeyer of Atlanta, Ga., 8 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren, 2 Nieces and 1 Nephew.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 4, 2018 at 2PM at the Penton Church Of God with burial to follow in the church cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Hendrix and the Rev. Mike Campbell officiating.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1PM until 2PM at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memorials Processing 501 St Jude Pl. Memphis, Tn. 38105-9959 or to a charity of your choice.
It is with sadness that I learned of Mr. Jr's passing. All of you were great neighbors growing up. I enjoyed being a part of both you and your grandparents lives.
