I met Dr. Dykes in 1969 at the vetinary clinic where he was practicing near my home in Pensacola. I owned a kennel of pointer dogs and I became a client of his, as well as a good friend. After several meetings we began to discuss our up bringings, and although we were raised 165 miles apart, we discovered that we were distant cousins. Over the years we spent many hours in the outdoors together, hunting and fishing, and owning beach front property together. Although we didn't agree on everything every time, we were able to disagree agreeably so to speak. I've lost a life long friend. I want to offer my sincerest condolensces to Judy and to all of his family.
