Mrs. Dorothy "Anne" Wood, age 78, of Milton, Florida died on November 14, 2025. Anne was born March 10, 1947 in LaFayette, Alabama.
She was a very sweet woman who loved to garden, create music with her husband, and spend time with her family and friends.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Susie Allanson; two grandchildren, Samantha Hunt and Kaleb Jones; and her aunt, Fay McDonald. She is also survived by her brother in law, Charlie Wood; sister in law, Patricia Ledbetter; step daughters, Jewel and Katherine Wood; and step son, Phillip Wood. She has many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, P.W. Wood; her parents, Dorothy and Ernest "Dot & Pepsi" Hopkins; and son, Michael Jones.
Visitation will be at Jeff Jones Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00pm CST, Thursday November 20, 2025. Graveside services will follow at 3:00pm CST at Community Baptist Church. Reverend Claude Bennett and Pastor Charlie Wood will be officiating.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt "thank you" to the health care workers at Santa Rosa Medical Center, Sacred Heart Hospital, and Vitas Hospice Care for all their kindness and compassion in her final weeks.
