Central Cremation Services respectfully announces the passing of William H. Bray III of Watkinsville Georgia on April 20th, 2022.
William H. Bray III passed away at his home on April 20th, 2022. He was born to Susan C. Bray and William H. Bray Jr. on October 20th, 1966, in Towson, Maryland. Bill's childhood was spent in Tucker, Georgia, where he developed a love of the outdoors and spent his youth hunting and fishing with the boy scouts and his family. Bill was known for never meeting a stranger. After graduating from Shamrock High School, Bill went on to attend West Georgia College where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Bill had a lengthy career as an Environmental Health & Safety Professional. He was passionate about keeping people safe and the environment clean. After September 11, 2001, he served as a volunteer firefighter for Oconee County Georgia. Bill was a great father and husband. He was married to his college sweetheart for 31 years. He taught his boys how to camp and hunt and gave them all the skills they would need to survive any emergency. As many know, Bill was an avid cyclist for at least 32 years. He rode mountain and road bikes and had a long racing career. He was immensely proud of the fact that he helped design the Olympic Mountain Bike Venue for the 1996 Olympics. A few years ago, he migrated over to dirt bikes so he could ride with his son Joey. Anyone who knew Bill knew that once he decided to do something, he went all in. Dirt bikes and dual sport had been his fun cycle for the last couple of years. He thoroughly loved it. He loved to shoot, and for years shot skeet with his son Ethan while Ethan was competing in the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation. Bill is survived by his wife Tracy Bray, his two sons Ethan and Joey Bray, his mother Susan Bray, sister Christine Bray, brother Andrew Bray, sister-in-law Angela Bray, nephew Aidan Bray, his father, William H. Bray, Jr. and Marni Bray.
The family plans to hold a Celebration of Life for Bill sometime in June. If you would like to find out information, please email billbray3@gmail.com

I used to work with Bill at Noramco and at Merial. He just today came up in a conversation and I decided to Google him to see what he's up to. I'm very distressed to see this obituary instead of another success story. My deepest condolences to the family. He will not be forgotten.
This was a shocker to hear... Billy and i went to high school together.. we use to hang out on the weekends. And summer of 1983 we were always cruising through Tucker in his green chevy pick up. I really wish I could have spoke to him before this happened... my prayers to his family during this heartbreak... I can't imagine the pain you have,,,,,gods speed billy... RIP my friend
