Obituary For Victor Alexander Johnson

Victor Alexander Johnson, 68, of Braselton, Georgia, passed away on August 30, 2026. He was born on July 31, 1958, in Manhattan, New York.

Victor proudly served his country in the United States Army, enlisting on March 22, 1976. Over the course of his military career he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant, serving as a Satellite Programmer Analyst and Radio Operator. He was honorably discharged on September 29, 1993, after more than seventeen years of dedicated service.

Victor was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara W. Johnson; his father, Edgar Simon Johnson; and his sisters, Francis Johnson and Valerie Cooper.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Cora Victoria Turner; his son, Malcolm Martin Johnson; his granddaughter, Christina Turner; his sisters, LaTanya Johnson Walls and Lena Johnson Bobo; his nieces, LeNita Bobo Sherrod, Adrianne Jackson, and Kem Price; his nephews, Nathaniel Cooper Jr. and Sean Cooper; and a host of loving cousins and friends.

He is also survived by his devoted fiancée, Hermione Thomas. He was also dearly loved by her sons, Jacob T. Edmonds, James L. Edmonds Jr., and Jared A. Edmonds, whom he considered family.

Victor will be remembered for his years of faithful service to his country, his devotion to his family, and the legacy of love he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
