It's been over a year since I've heard from you my dear friend, I am aching to learn the news of this loss just now in my attempt to track you down again.
I would like to remember you for your smile, contagious as ever but even more was your brilliant spirit. You were one of my closest friends for many years, Elliott. After a summer living in Yellowstone eight years ago we traveled through Colorado to Arizona and Utah together, two stray birds so very far from home. I got to explore Northern Arizona with you a few years later when you made the move from Georgia out to Colorado. Long distance friendship called for long phone calls, I spent so many hours yapping on the phone with you over the years that it must have amounted to weeks if not months of time. Our travels took us to high and low places, you set off for Alaska one summer with the book "Into the Wild" on your mind ready to break the mold of who you were. You found work on a fishing boat and sent me sea salt soaked letters via snail mail with extra stamps. When you returned to Georgia after that summer it meant returning to your addiction as well. Months turned into years of being unable to find you, an email last winter finally reached me and you were out of rehab thriving and free at last. We chatted for hours as old friends do, I was just so happy to hear your voice again. I would like to remember you this way, my vibrant adventurous friend. I've always admired you for your unshakable spirit of adventure, you spoke of the mountains so poetically it's as if they were speaking right back to you. Keep flying, Elliott. I'm sure there are mountains in heaven. Remembering you always -Olivia Lynn
I think about you everyday. I love you.

Elliott was one of our favorite humans..everyday he worked he fed us brunch on the porch. He claimed to be a dog person but was a cat lover at heart...we love you and miss you
Elliott brought his light with him which is one of the reasons why I always looked forward to seeing our names on the schedule together. When i first met him i saw immediately that his character and persona were of someone not easily forgettable. Someone light hearted with a sense of humor and softness that could not be overlooked. I know that all who encountered him have something to remember about him whether it be his huge heart that shown through or a conversation that bled genuineness. I pray that everyone missing him is able to find his bright light in other things because it will be there.

The loss of a loved one is never easy, no matter is it is a grandson, a son, a brother, a nephew or a cousin. To Elliott's coworkers and managers he was a well mannered young man who had a gift to smooth talk you into whatever he was wanting to do. Before you knew it, he had talked you into changing something around, then walked away saying thank you so much you are the best. He was always willing to make a guest happy with their stay, Elliott had a heart of gold and bigger than Texas. He was our gentle giant with a big smile and infectious laugh. That's why we want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. Elliott, YOU will be missed by all who knew and the many who loved you. Lisa (Helendorf)
Elliott was my best friend and I thought of him as my brother we were so close. We always had great conversations while we worked together. He had a contagious laugh and warm welcoming smile. He lit up a room with his hilarious sense of humor. We have shared many laughs together. He was so excited for the birth of my daughter. I will always make sure that when she gets older she will get to know you. She will always hear the great times we shared together. Although you are not here with us now you are in heaven, walking down those streets of gold and are going to welcome us all at the pearly gates where we will get to see you again. I will miss you dearly. You were such a great brother to me. Someone I could always come to when I was down and you could lift me up. I pray everyday for your family for comfort and peace. You left us so soon, but we rejoice knowing that you are in the arms of Jesus. Save us all a seat up there with you.
Elliot was such a wonderful young man that I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with. He was always smiling and had a great personality. He was larger than life. A great sense of humor. I still expect to see him come walking through the door here with that boyish grin he always had. I miss him a lot. Heaven has now gained an Angel around the Throne. I'm sure he is flashing his bright boyish grin to all that he comes in contact with. Rest high on that Mountain Elliott.
Elliot was a joy and brought laughter and happiness to those who had the honor to know him. He was the most polite, most gentile of southern gentlemen and a warm soul. He is sorely missed but I know he is shining in heaven with the Lord. My heart is with his family knowing their loss. You are very loved and very missed elliot ...Sharon (Helendorf)
He was my best friend and someone i loved deeply. Elliott had the most contagious smile. He was so smart, talented, and had the biggest heart I've ever encountered. I compair the most beautiful views of the north GA mountains to the beauty of Elliott's soul. I will honor you by always fighting the battle that took you. I love you Elliott.
