Tammy (Babcock) Scoggins, 62, of Athens, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at her home.
Tammy was born on Tuesday, January 1, 1963, in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Mary Dover. She loved listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jelly Roll, and any gospel music. Tammy enjoyed online shopping, watching movies, and, most of all, spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved critters, Dixie and Jojo.
Tammy will be deeply missed by her son, Jeff Scoggins; her sisters, Patsy Waldroup and Mearian (Scoggins) Baker; her brother, Larry Scoggins; her grandchildren, Dylan Babcock, Brandon Scoggins, Morgan Babcock, Leah Scoggins, Mari Scoggins, Kayla Harvey, Cierra Harvey, and Braxton Scoggins; her great-grandchildren, Legacy, Venice, Sumer, Haylen, Paisleigh, Brooklyn, Morgan Jr., and Amoriana; as well as many nieces and nephews, and countless friends and extended family.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Dover; her stepfather, John Dover; her sister, Kaye Scoggins; and her beautiful daughter, Sumer Babcock.
The staff of Central Cremation Services is honored to be selected to provide end-of-life services for the family of Tammy Jo Scoggins.

Words are hard to find in a time like this. I will always cherish the memories of us growing up together and the adventures we had. Tammy wasn't too much older than me so I thought of her more like an older sister growing up rather than my Aunt. You will be missed Tammy.
