Steven Mario Lester passed away suddenly on March 28, 2023 after living with substance use. Though he had struggles in his life, Steven loved the Lord and was, above all, a hopeful and faithful man. He was always laughing and smiling and had a positive outlook on life. He was a beautiful soul who deeply loved his family and friends. Steven was a talented artist. He had a passion for tattooing and will be remembered by so many people who have his artwork as a memento on their bodies. More importantly, Steven was easy to talk to and made sure to show people that they were loved, accepted, and worthy. He was a loving father, son, and nephew. Steven was loved by so many and his loss is felt across the recovery community as well as by his family.
Steven is survived by his daughter Layla, her mother Gayle, and Gayle’s children Levi and Savannah. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, Nanny Hazel, and "sister" Tonya.
A private funeral for the family will be held on Saturday, April 8th. A memorial of Steven's life hosted by Acceptance Recovery Center will be held on Friday, April 7th..
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steven’s name to Acceptance Recovery Center to help support people seeking recovery from substance use.
You will Forever be remembered 🙏
Steven was one of the kindest men we have ever had the pleasure to meet. He was very sweet and was very respectful. It is an honor to have some of his beautiful art work tattooed on our bodies. Miss you always Nicole &Patrick Risler
