Obituary For Sarah Frey

Sarah Frey, 65, of Dacula, Georgia, a long-time resident of Overland Park, Kansas, passed
away peacefully on Sept. 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Born on Nov. 30, 1959, in Webster, South Dakota, and raised in Manhattan, Kansas, Sarah lived
a life defined by strength, kindness, and devotion to her family. She spent most of her life in
Overland Park, where she lovingly raised her children. She moved to Dacula in May 2025 to
spend as much time as possible with her beloved grandchildren. She recently retired from
Furniture Mall of Kansas.

Sarah is survived by her son, Trent Floerchinger, of Overland Park; her daughter, Madison
Hardesty (Will) and her beloved grandson, Mason Hardesty, and granddaughter, Logan
Hardesty, all of Dacula. She is also survived by her siblings: Russell Frey (Lisa), Mike Frey
(Donice), Ruth Hilts (Rich), and Stephanie Missey (Sean), along with many nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Russell and Patricia Frey.

Sarah’s determination and zest for life inspired all who knew her. She was a devoted mother, a
cherished “Sassy” to her grandchildren, and a treasured friend to many. Her smile, warmth, and
fighting spirit will be remembered forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held in spring or summer 2026 in Overland Park. Details will be
shared with friends and family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center or
the American Cancer Society in Sarah’s memory
