Obituary For Sandra Stollar Hubacher

Sandra Stollar Hubacher, 88, peacefully passed away Monday, August 8th, 2025 at her home in Athens, GA. She is survived by her husband, Philip, sons Scott (Robyn), Dwight (Shannon), and Brad (Warner). Grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Maggie, Emma, Burke, McKinley, Rachel, Elizabeth, David, Philip and Levi. Great grandchildren, Rhiley, Adalynn, Healey, Hank and Austyn. Brother Howard (Sally), nieces Sandy, Stephanie, Chrissy, and Gretchen along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her brother Harry, sister Fritzi, and nephew Howard.

Sandy was born and raised in southwest Pennsylvania to Dr. Harry and Mildred Stollar of Elizabeth, PA. She married the love of her life, a career air force pilot, and accompanied him to many bases coast-to-coast while raising three boys. In retirement they embarked on many cruises around the world and she even learned how to play golf so she could be with her husband more. Although she was going thru declining health in recent years she always had a smile on her face and will be remembered for making everyone feel appreciated and special.

The family would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the wonderful help and care given by Family Hospice of Athens Georgia. According to her wishes a graveside service will be scheduled at a future date in Wheeling, WV.
