Central Cremation Services respectfully announces the passing of Robert Patterson McEwen of Gainesville GA, on March 17th, 2025.

Robert (Bob) Patterson McEwen was born October 16, 1945 and passed away on March 17, 2025 at the age of 79 after a long illness. He was surrounded by family and friends at his home in Gainesville, Georgia.

Robert is survived by his life partner of 18 years, Thomas Hunter. He leaves behind his daughter, Lori Sims (Craig), granddaughters, Elizabeth Sims, Hailey McGill (Anthony) and great-grandson, Logan McGill.

He graduated from Shaker Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Robert attended Lincoln College.

Robert had a long, distinguished career in banking, real estate, and as an entrepreneur. He enjoyed traveling and planning road trips. Robert loved the time that he spent in Europe. He explored America by car, RV, and his beloved Harley. He cruised the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway with his boat and in later years spent many hours motoring in his pontoon on the lake. Robert lived many places in his life; he found his forever home in a log cabin on the shore of Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
