Obituary For Patricia Nyoka Grissom Weathers

Patricia Nyoka Grissom Weathers, age 74, of Jefferson, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 23, 1951, in Duluth, Georgia, to James and Virginia Grissom.

Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her family was her greatest blessing in this life. She had a strong and unwavering faith, and her greatest wish was that all those she loved would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, so that one day they may all be reunited together in Heaven.

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 52 years, Danny Jack Weathers. She leaves behind her daughters, Stacy and her husband Eddie Fernandez, Angela Copeland, and honorary daughter Odalis McKee. She was a proud grandmother to Andy and Emily Kate Shelton; Skylar Copeland; Brooke and Dillon Kinsey; Blake and Keely Copeland; Zackary Copeland; Sylvia Sorrells; Vivian (Sam) Bowles; and Jazz McKee.

She is also lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Gracelyn, Liam, Paisley, Aiden, Emberlyn, Alisha, Elizabeth, Trista, Asher, Jack, and Alora.

Patricia is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Harlan Taylor, Diane Puckett, and Jane and Joey Martin, along with her nieces and nephews: Ginger, Missy, Frank, Charlie, Angela, and Robby, as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virginia Grissom; her father- and mother-in-law, Tilmon and Betty Weathers; her son-in-law, Cecil Copeland; her brothers-in-law, Bob Russell and Henry Puckett; and many other dearly loved family members.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Covenant Life Sanctuary, 115 Patrick Mill Rd SW, Winder, Georgia 30680. Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with the service beginning at 2:00 PM. The church will provide refreshments following the service.

Patricia will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
