It is with a heavy heart, the family of Natalie Ann Levy announces her passing on Thursday, August 22, 2024 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Natalie was born on March 11, 1950 in Rochester, NY. There she lived with her parents, Jake and Lydia Kopinski, who immigrated to the U.S. from Ukraine in 1949, along with their son Walter.
After receiving her nursing degree, Natalie moved to Southern California where she raised two beautiful daughters, Carrie and Aaryn. She continued in her passion being a nurse and helping those in need. In 2013, Natalie’s grandson James was born, and Natalie began her greatest joy ever, being a grandma. Throughout her life, Natalie remained involved in the Ukrainian community, as well as the Catholic Church.
Natalie made friends wherever she went. Her warm smile and loving heart touched all who met her and knew her. She was kind, caring, compassionate, loving and giving. Natalie loved her family, friends and the Lord. She cherished her prayer time, both individually and amongst her many prayer groups. She always felt a joy and privilege to pray with others and for others. Through prayer, Natalie was brought comfort and peace during the toughest fight of her life. On the day of her passing, she had a conversation with the Lord that brought her the peace as he brought her back home. Natalie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Natalie is survived by her daughters, Carrie and Aaryn, along her son-in law Jason, grandson James, brother Walter, sister-in law Mary and nephews, John, Brandon and Nick.
A memorial will be held at Hope Crossing Church in Jefferson, GA on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 2:00pm.
I met Natalie through Aaryn. She was always positive, welcoming and kind. She had such a big heart for her daughters and was wild about James. Any opportunity she had it was spent with her grandson and the company of Aaryn. She had great style and was a supportive mama to her girls. I'm so happy to have met you. Rest in the glory of our lord arms and till we meet again in the light of God's home. You will be missed. ~Lilian, Felix and Penny Stonehocker
