It is with profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Kevin Vincent, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, on April 16, 2025, in Auburn, GA.
Kevin had a rare gift for making people laugh. Those who knew Kevin will remember his wicked wit and his trademark sarcasm. His humor was matched only by his generosity. Whether lending a helping hand to a friend in need, mentoring someone in their career, or simply cooking a meal for loved ones, Kevin gave freely of himself.
Kevin had a sharp mind and a deep love for technology and mechanical systems. He was a natural problem-solver, always eager to figure things out—whether it was at work or with one of his many do-it-yourself home projects. Over the years, he pursued a variety of careers that drew on his technical skills and curiosity.
In recent years, he had hit his stride professionally and personally. He purchased his dream home in Auburn, which he lovingly fixed up with his own hands. He could often be found sitting in the yard, enjoying birdsong and a well-earned moment of quiet.
He found peace and joy on his bike, riding the quiet roads and trails near his home. If you knew Kevin, you probably knew his cooking—especially his love of smoked meats and finding just the right chili to add heat without overpowering flavor. He also had a lifelong love of photography and a keen eye for capturing the world around him.
Born into a military family, Kevin grew up across many states and overseas, but as an adult he settled into the Atlanta, Georgia area. He leaves behind his two beloved children, Courtney Vincent and Red Vincent (fiancé Scout Hutchinson), his mother Carol Vincent, his sisters Leslie Vincent (wife Viara Giraffe) and Erin Gray (husband James Gray), niece Lehua Gray and nephew James Gray, bonus daughter Alexis Everson, and many other friends, colleagues, and chosen family members who cherished his humor, his heart, and his company. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Vincent.
Kevin’s passing came too soon and too suddenly, and the shock of his loss echoes loudly through those who loved him. His memories live on: teaching his daughter to drive, firing up the smoker, and making people laugh. His absence is deeply felt. His laughter, stubbornness, wit, and his love remain.
Family members, friends and colleagues will gather on May 31st in Winder, Georgia, to celebrate Kevin’s life.
In lieu of flowers, we suggest that memorial contributions be made to The Path Foundation (https://www.pathfoundation.org/donation/p/in-honor-memory-of-jp29d) which helps to create, preserve and maintain the Silver Comet Trail that Kevin so dearly loved.
Send flowers to the service of Kevin Michael Vincent
