Kayla Christina Reed, born June 18, 1987, passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 38. Kayla was from Gainesville, Georgia, where she lived on and off throughout her life and built countless memories with the people she loved.
Kayla never met a stranger. She had an outgoing personality, a funny spirit, and a heart that would help anyone in need. She was the kind of person who could bring joy to those around her, make them feel welcome, and brighten a room simply by being herself. She loved deeply, cared fiercely for those around her, and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. While she could be stubborn at times, that same strength and stubbornness is what carried her through life.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Tammy Reed; her daughter, Jenica; and her grandparents, Jack and Wanda Reed.
She is survived by her two brothers, Josh Reed and Zachary Tanner; her cousins, Stephanie Reese and Crystal Coker; Uncle Stan and Aunt Dora; her three beloved children, Malachi, Shalynn, and Serenity; and many other cousins and friends who she loved dearly.
Kayla will be remembered for her fight, her loyalty, her strong spirit, and the love she gave so freely. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
“She fought the good fight with courage, conviction and strength. Until we meet again, she will be missed every day.”
A memorial service will be held at a later date with a balloon release to honor Kayla’s life and say goodbye. Her cousin will be in contact with family and friends with details regarding the place, date, and time once arrangements are finalized.
The Central Cremation Services staff considers it a privilege to support the family of Kayla Christina Reed during this time.
