It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Carolyn Wendt, who departed this life peacefully on January 25, 2025, at the age of 79. Judy faced her final days with strength, having endured a long battle with health challenges. She spent her last months surrounded by family in Hoschton, GA, creating cherished memories with her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A resident of Stanley, NC, for the past 20 years, Judy’s life was marked by her devotion to her work as a cosmetologist, a career she pursued passionately for many years, particularly in Prescott, AZ. She was a member of Pearl Baptist Church in Iron Station, NC, where her faith remained a steadfast source of comfort. Judy was also an active and proud member of the Moose Lodge, treasuring the camaraderie of her close friends, who brought her joy until her final days.
Judy was a woman who did her best with the tools she had, navigating life’s challenges with resilience. Danny, his wife Allison, and their family brought great joy and comfort to Judy in her final months.
Judy was preceded in death by her children Barry Adams, Mark Adams, and Peggy Jensen (Adams). She is survived by her son Danny L. Adams (Allison), her six grandchildren—Tara Bonner (Adams), Danielle Rucker (Adams), Benjamin Jensen, Kimberly Wagner, Kayla Wagner, and Ryan Wagner—and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Troy Watson, sister Dena Davis, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Pearl Baptist Church, 4657 Hwy 27, Iron Station, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 12:00 p.m.
Flowers and cards may be sent to Pearl Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy’s memory may be made to a local animal rescue organization of your choice or directly to the church.
Judy will be remembered as a woman who loved deeply, cared for others, and cherished the relationships that brought her joy. May she rest in peace.
