It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Heath Schoettlin on January 28, 2025. Born on March 23, 1988, in Germany, Heath was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He left us far too soon, leaving behind a family who cherished him beyond measure.
Heath is survived by his loving wife, Audrey, who shared three wonderful years with him, filled with love, passion, and devotion. He was a devoted father to his son Avery Schoettlin (15) and daughter Brianna Schoettlin (10), and a caring stepfather to Hailey Henold (12), Emily Henold (11), Zoey Henold (9), Makayla Henold (8), and Madison Henold (8). His family was his world, and he embraced the joys and challenges of their blended home with a full heart.
Heath also leaves behind his parents, Shelly and Joseph Schoettlin, his grandmother Patricia LaPorte, and his brother Lance Schoettlin. His love extended to his cherished pets—his four cats, Logan, Anastasia, Selena, and Achilles—and his dear "step puppy," Rainbow, who adored him beyond words.
A proud Marine, Heath carried his service with honor throughout his life. He had an unshakable love for the outdoors, often seeking adventure through hiking and exploring. He had a passion for speed, whether in his fast cars or on his Ducati Panigale 1199R motorcycle, and he loved gaming with his son, cherishing the time they spent together.
To those who knew him, Heath was a protector, a provider, and a man who made everyone around him feel valued and loved. His wife, Audrey, will forever hold him in her heart as the love of her life, the man who made her feel like a queen, and the one who showed her a love deeper than she ever thought possible. His presence brought warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family, and his loss leaves a void that can never be filled.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, with details to be announced. Heath will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery for Veterans in Canton, GA.
Though our time with him was too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever. Semper Fi, Heath. We will miss you always.
