Diana G. Seale

I only recently learned of Diana's passing. Like so many others, Diana's warmth, kindness, and humor over many years was what actually made getting a haircut something I enjoyed. She was indeed a friend and quite simply a wonderful person. She also had a great memory about family and prior discussions. As an aside, she was great at her job. I hope Gene and Diana's family find comfort in the many lives she touched in such a positive way. I'm thankful I was blessed to know her.

John, I just today learned that Diana had died...We were the trusted friends who together who dealt with some of the bad times together. It was her strength and guidance that was so much a part of our friendship. She was a strong and amazing woman. She may have been small, but she was fierce! Her common sense held me together more times than I could count! Her strength and kindness is deep in my heart. Diana was so very beautiful in body and heart. I know and heard so many times how much she loved you. I was so fortunate that she was a part of my life. I loved her and have missed her so much. Be strong like Mom always was for you and all who have loved her.

My condolences to Gene and family. I just learned and am so saddened to hear about Diana. Diana cut my hair for over 20 years. My son Nicholas received his first hair cut from Diana. I will miss our monthly chats while I sat in her chair. Gene and family, I hope you take some comfort in knowing how many people adored her.

Diana was my friend and barber for me and my sons for over 15 years. She took care of all of us and watched my boys grow up and gave them a lot of wise advice. She will be missed greatly and our prayers and condolences go out to Gene and her family. She always shared life and joy with all those around her.

Diana cut my hair and put a smile on my face every visit for over 20 years. My mom's family was from Maine, so between her New England accent and a voice similar to one of my aunts her greeting was like family visits when I was kid. (Though she was only 4 years older than I) I will miss chatting while she made me look good and so will my wife Deb who started coming with me when we moved to Gainesville after retiring. She was a great lady nd a friend.

Diana was my barber for probably 20 years. She was the best I've known, and always good to chat with. I will miss her more than I have words for. Rest In Peace Diana, and may God bless Gene and her family who she spoke of often.

Diana cut my son and my hair for nearly 20 years. She was always interested in my family and pets. I feel like I know hers as well. We talked sports, video games, and tv shows. I always tried to get her to watch The Good Place. Not sure if she ever did, but know she is now experiencing it first hand. Jim Wiles

Now that the shock of Diana's passing has worn off, I'd like to add my condolences to the Seale Family. As other clients have noted, I have been with Diana for over 20 years. Not only was she my barber, but she had become a wonderful and trusted friend. Exchanging stories of our families over the years brought a time that I always looked forward to every 45 days for my visit to her shop. I learned of her family in MA, (always an airline story to go along with it, I flew for Delta Air Lines), her pets, and the like. She watched my sons grow up into men as she cut their hair over the years. I would bring our Canine Assistants dogs to the shop for her to meet which always brought a smile to her face. Diana was an amazing woman. She started cutting my hair when I was just about 5 years old. She was always a joy to see and catch up with. She cut my hair almost every month for close to 20 years and saw me grow up and gave me plenty of good advice while I sat in her chair. I'll never forget the early Saturday mornings with her or waiting until I could come home from college for a hair cut just because she was the only one I trusted. Diana you will truly be missed and I will keep you and your family in my prayers, especially every time I sit myself in another barber chair.

Like so many others I had my hair cut with Diana for more than 20 years. She always asked about my family. A haircut with Diana was a visit with a long time friend. I'm grateful to have known her all these years.

Diane was my sister in law when I was a new mom. Married to her brother Bobby. Always looking on the bright side, taking life in stride no matter what was thrown at her. Later in life when we were no longer related, I often hoped we'd reconnect. Back then, when she was just getting certified for hairdressing. I was one of her first models ;) - Loved her sense of reality, her drive to have FUN!! Di, I bet you're jitterbugging up there with Bobby - you two were a blast to watch on the dance floor! So sorry you had to leave your loved ones too soon!

Diana was my barber and a friend for over 20 years. She was a wonderful sweet woman who had a genuine love and concern for all her customers. She always wanted a update on my family. I will always cherish our last conversation in mid January. It was the first time I had saw her since the start of the pandemic. My deepest sympathy to Gene and all of her family. Andy and I had been going to Diana since he was 4 years old so it would be 20+ years. She was always able to get him talking. My wife and I used to joke about giving Diana a list of questions to go through while cutting his hair. When we moved out of the area, we still drove 30 minutes to come back to Diana. Not even sure where to start! So sad that I won't be able to come through Diana's door knowing that for at least 20 minutes while my son(sometimes son's) got their haircut, I could sit back, laugh and catch up with someone who truly loved what they did. She would text and say when am I gonna see my boys and if I didn't come she would tell them to tell me to stop by. She always mentioned her helpful husband, family and grandkids 🙂 We were impressed with her vineyard vines pullovers she liked so much 😂 Even though this mom wanted her son's haircut shorter, Diana knew how to make us both happy and told me not to sweat the small stuff...so true! I'll truly miss her and her SHEAR like ability with her customers ❤️ We have many memories with her for almost 20 years! Diana was important to our family for 20 years, first cutting my son's hair then cutting mine for the last 10 or so years — Diane and Diana, standing side by side at Bob's store a good bit of the time. My mom was the one person in my life I could always count on to be there for me. Through The bad time and best of times. I will miss her very much, but I know she is in a much better place and not in pain anymore. She always thought the value of a hard days work, and to always be honest.
