Christopher Micheal 'Chris' Pruitt
Christopher Michael Pruitt, 41, passed into eternal rest April 20, 2024, in Greenville, S.C.
Born May 18, 1982, he was raised in Banks County, the son of Susan Pruitt and the late Ronald Pruitt. Christopher was a respected veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his nation with valor as an infantryman. He was also a former Banks County firefighter/EMT, who spent his career serving his country and others.
Known for his goofy and loving personality, Chris had the unique ability to become friends with anyone he met. He was a true fan of the Atlanta Braves and Georgia football, and he found extreme happiness in physical fitness, sharing that love of fitness with his sons. Above all, Chris' most cherished and devoted role was being a father to his sons.
He leaves behind his two sons, Oliver and Noah Pruitt, who were his greatest life achievement; his former partner and mother of his children, Krystal Pruitt, whom he remained close with; brother and lifelong best friend, Thomas Whitworth; his mother, Susan Pruitt; brother, Jason Pruitt; and closest cousin, Danica Corley. Chris' memory will also be treasured by all of his nieces and nephews, and an extended family of relatives and friends along with many military brothers whose lives he has changed forever.
He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Pruitt; his father, Ronald Pruitt; paternal grandparents, Troy and Ruth Pruitt; maternal grandparents, Pete and Undine Poole; cousin, Shanda Williams; and other relatives including but not limited to his fallen military brothers.
The Pruitt family invites you to join them in a Celebration of Life honoring Chris' legacy on what would have been his 42nd birthday, May 18, 2024. Details of the location will be provided in due course.
The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and requests privacy as they grieve. Chris' spirit, laughter and love will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
