An honored and faithful doorkeeper has answered the Master's Call to eternal rest...... Carter Funeral Home is humbled to announce the transition of Mr. William Lee Jenkins of Union Springs, Alabama. Mr. Jenkins peacefully exchanged Life for eternity on March 29, 2021 at his residence. Mr.Jenkins, 66, proudly served as an Usher at the Haynes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of the Cornerstone Community.
Commemoration of Life Services will begin with a public visitation Friday, April 2, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Haynes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. (parking lot). Pastor Eddie C. Jasper will deliver the message of triumph.
The service will be live-streamed on Carter Funeral Home Facebook page. (see clickable link below)
Interment will follow in Jackson Cemetery on Marlow Jasper Road.
A Time to be Born William Lee Jenkins was born June 16, 1954 to Mattie Lue Jenkins and Johnnie Jenkins Jr of Bullock County.
A Time to Serve Will attended Haynes Chapel Baptist Church. He served faithfully as a Deacon and was Chief of the Senior Usher Board. Will also dedicated 19 years of service to Wayne Farms and 50 years of service to the Bonnie Plants Farm.
A Time to Die After years of faithful service, he gained his heavenly wings on March 29, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother Mattie Lue Jenkins, his father Johnnie Jenkins Jr and his brother John Lee Jenkins.
A Time of Peace Will found his love, was united in holy matrimony and leaves to celebrate his life, his loving and dedicated wife Martha L. Jenkins, six sisters Gloria Jenkins, Channie Jenkins, Essie Hill, Katie (Edward) Turner, Jessie (Johnny) Dubose, and Ida Lee. Two brothers, Fred Jenkins and Thomas Jenkins. Aunts, Emma Lou Downing, Lillie Mae White, Katie Percell, Lula B. Rivers, Ethel Border, Oldie Bell Jackson, Annie (Fred) Youngblood, Costella Baker and Mary Baker. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
