Obituary For Timothy Turpin

Celebrating the legacy of Mr. Timothy Turpin, Carter Funeral Home humbly announces the transition of Mr. Turpin, age 74, on March 25, 2022.

Mr. Timothy Turpin, a native of Bullock County, AL, was born March 26, 1947.

He spent the majority of his adult life in Chicago where he was employed as an Industrial Worker and Parking Attendant; he retired from both establishments as an esteemed, highly regarded employee.

He peacefully transitioned into eternity March 25, 2022.

Two sons, Bobby Joe Turpin and David Smith preceded him in death along with his siblings and sisters in laws, Jimmy (Mattie)Turpin, Willie Turpin, Arthur Turpin, and Althena Turpin. His loving family that will cherish precious memories of a life well lived, include his wife Jeanette Bender-Turpin his five children, Timothy Turpin, Jr., Timmetta Turpin Travis Turpin, Keisha Lewis, and Whitney O’Hearn.; his siblings and sisters in laws, Annie Turpin, Jesse Turpin, Charlie Turpin (Frazier), Roger Turpin (Velma) , Mamie Goshay, Eva Broaders (Herbert), Annie Goshay, Bertha Smith (Henry), Bessie Beachem (Jerry), Earnestine Smart (Nathaniel), and Susie Jordan (Johnny) along with numerous grandchildren, relatives and friends.

The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Cemetery of the Guerryton Community, Hurtsboro, AL. The message of comfort will be delivered by Pastor David Dawson of Columbus, GA.

In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
