Therious Vann McWhorter was born May 12, 1971 to the late Mr. Clifford Levant McWhorter Sr. and Mrs. Evelyn Williams McWhorter. At an early age, Therious joined First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. A B Clark. He is a graduate of Bullock County High School Class of 1989. He was a lover of all genres of music which is attributed to being a drummer in the Mighty Fighting Stinging Hornets Band, under the direction of Mr. James Cooks. After graduating high school, Therious attended Southern Vocational School in Tuskegee, AL with aspirations of becoming a Licensed Electrician.
Not only was Vann a lover of people and never met a stranger, but he was also a “Jack of All Trades”! One of his most memorable jobs was working beside his father with Newell and Bush. Many didn’t know but he was also a self-taught artist which included collagraphy.
Therious was preceeded in death by his father, brother-Clifford L. McWhorter Jr., grandparents James & Teasie McWhorter and J.W. & Marion Williams.
Therious leaves to cherish his memories to his mother Evelyn Williams McWhorter, sister Mollie “Peggy” Williams-Wilson, brother James H. McWhorter, and a special niece reared as a sister Kishana Williams-Thornton along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be selected to provide End of Life Services for the late Mr. Therious Vann McWhorter
