Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Mr. Terry Dean Simpson (61), of Midway, Alabama.
Mr. Simpson transitioned into eternity during the morning hours of Saturday, July 15, 2023, at his residence.
The Commemoration of Life Celebration with begin with a public visitation Friday, July 21, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The End of Life Celebration Service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the sanctuary of the New Mt. Silla Missionary Baptist Church of the Comer Community, Midway. AL.
Pastor James Person will deliver the message of triumph and comfort.
Interment will follow in the New Mt
Silla Baptist Cemetery.
Attendees are encouraged to practice social distancing and to utilize protective facial coverings as deemed appropriate.
Bro. Terry Simpson was born May 14, 1962, to the late Leroy and Eula Simpson. He joined New Mt. Silla Baptist Church at an early age and remained faithful until his health declined. He departed this life on July 15, 2023, at his home.
Bro. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terez Simpson; and brother, Roy Simpson. Terry worked as an Industrial Machine Operator. He served his church family as Superintendent of the Sunday School and was a faithful member of the Usher Board.
Terry leaves to cherish his memories, a loving devoted wife, Bobbie Simpson; five sons: Terry Jr. (Erica), Marlon (Kaniyah), Elvis (Ashley), Deondre (Ebonie), and Jamal; three sisters: Eula (James) Wilson, Cincinnati, OH, Rosie (Fred) Tate, Eufaula, AL, and Sharon Simpson, Midway, AL; brothers: a devoted twin, Perry (Alicia) Simpson, Cincinnati, OH, Henry (Mary), Simpson, Eufaula, AL, James (Florence) Simpson, Warner Robins, GA, and Ernest Simpson, Midway, AL; nine grandchildren; a devoted nephew, Tay Tay; one devoted uncle, Minister Elbert Cumming (Zoe); brothers-in-law: Willie (Emmie) Dubose, Lee (Patricia) Dubose, Larry (Christine) Dubose, and Bobby (Gwen) Dubose; sisters-in-law: Lizzie Dubose and Gertrude Daniels; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
