Carter Funeral Home humbly and honorably announces the peaceful transition of Mrs. Statie Mae Pritchett Simmons, (68) of Fitzpatrick, Alabama.
Mrs. Simmons transitioned into eternity on February 10, 2023, at her residence, while under the watchful care of her loving family.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, February 17, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Celebration will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the sanctuary of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Jerome Anthony will deliver the message of triumph.
Interment will follow all services in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Cemetery.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

Statie Mae Pritchett Simmons was born December 1, 1954, in Fitzpatrick, Al. to Arthur James Pritchett and Parlee Pickett Pritchett. She transitioned from this life Friday February 10, 2023, at home surrounded and supported by her loving family.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her lord and savior, and joined the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Simsville Community, where she was a great supporter.
She was employed with Wayne Farms LLC, for 44 until she retired December of 2020. She was a dedicated worker and very well loved by her colleagues. Once she retired, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and tending to her beautiful flowers. Statie was preceded in death by her father and mother. (Arthur James Pritchett and Parlee Pickett Pritchett.) Also, by her sister Betty Jean Pritchett, and her loving husband Wille Plez "Billy" Simmons.
She leaves to cherish her memories and one son Patrick Pritchett of Fitzpatrick, AL., Christina Pritchett of Montgomery, Al., Shanna Pritchett and Betty Simmons both of Fitzpatrick, Al. Ten grandchildren, Patrick (Earlese), Deonte (Carl), Roderick, Kristen, Tia, Tamira, Tyler, Krystall, Omarion, and Elijah. Seven great-grandchildren, Paisley, Brayton, Pablo, A'Journi, Kacen, Parris, and CyIan, Brother Arthur James (Carolyn) Pritchett Jr of Dallas Texas, two devoted nieces whom she reared as her children, Kitina Pritchett and Nethia(Ernest) Brown, a nephew Arthur James (Tonia) Pritchett Ill, one great niece and 2 great nephews she reared as her grandchildren, Ritchelle, Kendarious(Lashone), and Jamichael(Selena), one brother-in-law, Lonnie(Beverly), five sister-in-laws, Mary(Hugh), Elizabeth, Maxine, Bobbie, and Doretha, special friends, Shirley Lee, Brenda Monroe, and Arlene Bronson, and a host of aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
