Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Ms. Shameria Lanette Harris of Union Springs, AL.
Ms. Harris, 30, transitioned into eternity on August 3, 2021, in Montgomery, AL.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Celebration will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 3:00 pm in Thornton - Foster Stadium at the Bullock County High School.
The message of comfort will be delivered by Pastor Steven Monday of the High Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at the Mt. Hilliard Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
All visitations and services will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols. Attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings.
In times of transition from this world, those of us who are left behind are consoled when we reflect upon our memories of the way we were, and the love that was given and the love that was received.
Shameria Lanette Harris, daughter of the late Rozell and Barbara Harris was born March 10, 1991 in Union Springs, AL
Shameria transitioned into eternal rest on August 3, 2021.
Shameria was a loving and kind person, who was loved by many. She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the New Elam Baptist Church in Mitchell Station, AL. She was educated in the Bullock County School System, becoming a member of the Bullock County High School Class of 2009. She later furthered her education at Trenholm State Community College.
Shameria cherished the family bonds. She was a loving and caring mother to her three children and an outstanding encourager and supporter for her siblings.
Shameria accomplished many things in her short life and will continuously be loved and missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rozell and Barbara Harris.
Shameria leaves to honor her legacy and cherish her memories, three children, Tony Green, Jr., Ta’Miyah Green, Ta’Niyah Green, all of Fitzpatrick, AL; Five siblings: Mckenzie (Rumeisha) Harris, Roosevelt (Charlena) Harris, all of Fitzpatrick, AL, Kimberly Burton of Montgomery, AL, Roychester Harris and Rozell (Itasha) Harris, Jr., all of Dallas, TX; One Grandmother, Bertha Caffie of Chesson, AL; Three Aunts, Rosa Flowers of Cocoa, FL, Pollie (Lawyer) Calhoun of Fitzpatrick, AL, Henrietta Blakey of Chesson, AL; Four Uncles, Robert (Cynthia) Harris, Aldophus Harris, all of Fitzpatrick, AL, Tobbie Harris of Tallassee, AL, Willie (Irene) Caffie of Montgomery, AL; Two Great-aunts, Carolyn (John) Jones of Union Springs, AL, Savannah Hawkins of Montgomery, AL; Two nieces, Kaden McCoy and Kamden McCoy; two nephews, Kalib Burton and Calik Avery; And a host of special cousins and friends.
