The caring Staff of Carter Funeral Home joins the family of Reverend Hawthorne Reed in mourning his passing while celebrating a life devoted to service, faith, and ministry.
Reverend Reed transitioned into eternity on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the age of 72.
We are honored to share the Celebration of Life arrangements for Reverend Reed.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday July 3, 2026, from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 11:30am in the sanctuary of the Elizabeth Baptist Church, 312 AL-239, Union Springs, AL.
Interment with military honors will be Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:30am CDT at the Fort Mitchell Cemetery, 553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL.
The caring Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the End-of-Life Care of the late Reverend Hawthorne Reed.
It is our prayer that God’s grace, comfort, and peace will continue to keep the family and his congregation during this difficult time.
