BELOVED SON, FATHER, BROTHER, UNCLE, AND FRIEND
Quevis Rodgers was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Quevis was a jokester and was affectionately called “Q”. He was born on April 30, 1975 in Union Springs, Alabama to Mattie Lee Rodgers. He departed this life and went home to be with our Heavenly Father on November 10, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Alabama.
Quevis confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He graduated from Bullock County High School and was a proud and active member of the Class of 1994. He was a faithful employee of Bonnie Plant Farm for more than 20 years while simultaneously serving as a devoted, diligent, and dependable care-taker of his mother, Mrs. Mattie Lee Rodgers. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Pearl Cox and his only brother, Robert Earl Rodgers.
Quevis leaves to cherish his loving memories a devoted son, T’mas Keshon Rodgers, Montgomery, Alabama; a loving mother, Mattie Lee Rodgers, Union Springs, Alabama; life companion, Kawana Pritchett and son Skylar, Union Springs, Alabama; nine sisters: Annie Pearl Mason, Dallas, Texas, Mary Elizabeth Brooks, Banks, Alabama, Delois Hill, Banks, Alabama, Lucile (Alfonza) Mobley, Sarasota, Florida, Evelina Gail Rodgers, Birmingham, Alabama, Brenda Joyce (Kenneth) Simpson, Port Charlotte, Florida, Lisa Harris, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Velma Rodgers, Tampa, Florida, and Tracy Rodgers, McDonough, Georgia; two aunts: Hattie Mae Olds, Tampa, Florida and Willie Mae White, Petersburg, Virginia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a tribe of friends and buddies including the “Smokey’s Crew”.
A viewing will be held at Carter Funeral Home on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
His Celebration of Life Service will be held outside (mask-wearing strictly enforced) at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Banks, Alabama on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM with burial in the church cemetery.
