Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Orlando Lampley, 59, of Midway. Alabama.
Mr. Lampley born May 24, 1959 passed away May 3, 2019 at the Bullock County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the sanctuary of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of the Pine Grove Community.
The eulogy will be delivered by the pastor Rev. W.J. Glover.
Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Lampley will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.
Public visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019.from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
Orlando Lampley AKA Tuck or Bo was born May 24, 1959 in Midway, Alabama to the late Maple Jean Rodgers Lampley Roundtree and the late Malachi Lampley in the Pine Grove Community in Bullock County. He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and joined The Fellowship Baptist Church. Orlando entered into Holy rest, Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Bullock County Hospital, Union Springs, Alabama.
Orlando was dedicated to his family and friends; always friendly to everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sisters, Robin Roundtree and Lenuva Roundtree, grandparents, aunts, and uncle, James Rodgers.
Cherishing his love and memories are his daughter, Yalonda Lampley (Tony) Williams; granddaughter, Kadience D. S. Williams, Atlanta, GA.; brothers: George (Barbara) Lampley, Billy (Michelle) Roundtree, Orlando, FL., and Whitney Roundtree, Kissimmee, FL.; sisters: Virginia Roundtree (Daniel), Dorothy Lampley, Auburn, AL..; aunts: Annie Grace Anderson, Orlando, FL., Mattie Kate, Mary Jane and Cora Lampley, all of Midway, AL., Mayola Lampley, Riviera Beach, FL., and Sarah Nell Lampley, Miami, FL.; uncles: Obie (Judy) Rodgers, Arthur Rodgers, Clemmie Rodgers, Theodore Rodgers, and Theodis (Dorcia) Foster; a dedicated uncle, Barry (Rose) Tarver, Midway, AL.; a devoted friend, Ollie B. Rodgers, Valdosta, GA.; a host of very dedicated and devoted cousins: Brenda, Tara, Katrina, Felicia, Edna, Christopher, Brian, Michael, Martez, Curtis; and many other very close caring cousins, other relatives and friends including his very special friend Junior Jackson.
