With heartfelt sympathy, the Staff of Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mrs. Mattie Lee Rodgers of Banks, AL.
Mrs. Rodgers transitioned into eternity Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age of 93.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, February 27, 2026, from
2:00pm until 5:00pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00pm from the Sanctuary of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 2341 Co Rd 21, Banks, AL.
The eulogy will be given by Minister Delois Hill.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Repast will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church, 106 Holcombe Ave., Union Springs, AL.
The caring Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the End-of-Life Care of the late Mrs.Mattie Lee Rodgers.

Mattie Lee Rodgers was a kind, sincere, loving Christian role model. She practiced her faith each day and was constantly being the "hands and feet of Jesus." She and my mother (Carolyn Paulk) called themselves sisters and spent time laughing and talking and fussing just like real sisters. Our family is so very blessed to have known Mattie Lee. She will be missed, but if you listen carefully you can hear her singing in the heavenly choir. To her wonderful family, you all know how much she loved and admired each of you.
