Carter Funeral Home humbly announces the transition of Ms. Louise Green of Tuskegee, Alabama.
Ms. Green, 76, peacefully transitioned into eternity on November 8, 2020.
Celebration of Life Services and Interment will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm from the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery, County Road 45, Tuskegee, Alabama. The message of comfort and strength will be rendered by Rev. D.L. Heard.
Public visitation will be held Friday, November 13, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
All visitations and services will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols. Facial coverings for all attendees are mandated per an executive order of the Governor of the State of Alabama.
THE JOURNEY BEGINS: MS. LOUISE PATTERSON GREEN was born October 7, 1944 in Macon County to the late Mrs. Panola & Mr. Alverse Patterson.
REMEMBERING LOUISE Louise spent a significant part of her career as a Substitute Teacher for the Macon County Board of Education at South Macon High School. Ms. Louise Patterson Green departed her earthly life on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Magnolia Heaven Nursing Home in Tuskegee, Ala. She is preceded in death by one son, the late Rev. David Lee Green, her mother and father, and thirteen siblings.
FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS Left to cherish her sweet memories are five children: Mrs. Vendetta (Leslie) Ligon, Ms. Vecie Green, Mr. James (Mignone) Green, Mr. Winston L. Green all of Tuskegee, Ala. and Mr. Edgar (Lynn) Green of Norfolk, Va; Mr. Edgar (Fannie) Green of Detroit, Michigan; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and a devoted niece, Ms. Josephine Patterson, along with other nieces, nephews, family members and friends, including her three dear friends: Mr. Amos Page to him she was his (Hey Baby), Ms Dorothy Dubose and Ms. Ann and her two special caregivers, Ms. Kawana Howard and Ms. Shakita Cox. The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to support the Green Family with End of Life Services.
