Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Ms. Latasha Rodgers, 37, on January 30, 2019.
Ms. Rodgers transitioned at Baptist Medical Center- South of Montgomery, Alabama.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 3:30 pm at the Mt. Coney Baptist Cemetery.
The Rev. Evins Faulk, Jr., pastor of the Sweet Gum AME Zion Church, Shorter, Alabama will deliver the eulogy.
Public visitation will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
Latasha Ann Rodgers entered Heaven’s gates with arms wide open on January 30, 2019. She was born on October 25, 1981 in Midway, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Augusta Rodgers; brother, Mario Rodgers; grandfather, Eugene Rodgers, Jr.; aunts: Mary Guice and Mattie Chambers.
Her memories will be cherished by her father, Charles Rodgers of Clayton, AL.; six children: DeCorey Rodgers, Aleah Starks, DeAngelo Starks, Malachi Rodgers, Eriyanna Pelt, and Yazhari Couch, all of Ozark, AL.; six sisters: Sontisa (Michael) Henderson, Marquetta (Sherman) Williams, Melinda Rodgers, all of Troy, AL., Brenda Rodgers of Clayton, AL., Lutiona Walker, Tanya Small, both of New York.; four brothers: Terrance (Nikki) Rodgers, Corneilus Tarver, both of Troy, AL., Derrick Rodgers of Clayton, AL., and Charles (Teresa) Rodgers, Jr. of Texas; seven aunts: Annie Guice, Retta Fulpher, Ruby Rodgers, Christine Carlisle, all of Troy, AL., Evon Boykin of Florida, Eula Sloan, Mattie Griffin, all of New York; two uncles: Gene Fulpher and Kenneth Fulpher, both of Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a very special friend, Rod Couch.
