Carter Funeral Home announces the sudden transition of Ms. Latasha Danielle Swift.
Ms. Swift, a resident of the Sandhill Community, of Union Springs, AL passed away October 26, 2023, at her residence.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, November 10, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 1:00 pm from the hallowed grounds of the Historic Perote Cemetery.
Pastor Bruce Burks of the Mt. Azure and Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Churches will deliver the message of triumph.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
LATASHA confessed Christ at an early age, and later became
a devoted member of Mt. Azure Missionary Baptist Church
in Three-Notch Community of Bullock County. Latasha
attended Bullock County High School, Class of 1992. She
gained employment in Alabama over the years. She enjoyed
spending time with family and friends. On February 3, 2017,
Latasha married Michael Arsenic Parham in Union Springs,
Alabama. Michael and Latasha have been married for six
years.
On October 26, 2023, God called home our beloved “Tasha”
(a loving daughter, mother, wife, sister, niece, grandmother,
aunt, cousin, and friend). She was preceded by her mother,
Shirley Lee Swift, and bonus sister, Heather Bourne.
Cherished and loving memories will forever live in the
hearts of her father, David Swift; husband, Michael Arsenio
Parham; two daughters, De’Unna Swift, and De’Kera
Fitzpatrick; two sons: DeMonte Swift (Shatwana) and
De’Quarius Swift; sixteen grandchildren De’Asia, Lauren,
Kevon, Kashmere, Nehemiah, De’Nasia, De’Monte Jr.,
Aria, Myrikle, Isla, De’Quasia, Kamanya, Larea, Anthony,
Antrell, and Antwuan; seven nephews: Tyrell Sr., Kevonte,
Dewayne Jr. Tyrell, Jr, Tristan, Ty’Quarius, and G'Marrion;
four nieces: JaKaya, Drayne, JaRiah, and De'Mani; one
sister, Latonya Fluellen; one aunt, Delores Rodgers; two
first-cousins: Ty’erickson and Johnathan; one bonus sister,
Mattie Caldwell; two bonus brothers: Tyrone and Joseph
Jr.; two bonus nieces and two bonus nephews: Brandy
and Mahalian, Eugene Jr. and Kenneth Jr.; one best friend,
Naziree Murray; along with a host of other family and
friends.
