Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Jimmy Lee Hatcher of Union Springs, AL.
Mr. Hatcher passed away Monday June 19, 2023, at the age of 55.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, June 30, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Young Sardis Baptist Cemetery of Union Springs, AL.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
Mr. Jimmy Lee Hatcher better known as Tim
was born on June 29, 1967 to the late Ms. Mattie
V. Hatcher and the late Mr. Dive Baskin. He was
educated in Bullock County at Bullock County
High School.
During his years of life, he faithfully attended
Wayman Chapel AME Church. He departed this
earthly life on June 19, 2023 in Union Springs,
AL. He is one of thirteen siblings.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mattie V.
Hatcher and father, Dive Baskin.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories five
sisters, Paula Sue (Neal) Williams, East Hartford,
CT; Geneva (Alvin) Williams, Mary Ann Allums,
Joanne Allums, Union Springs, AL and Philissa
Baskin, Philadelphia, PA; eight brothers, Dwight
Hatcher, Stanley (Latresa) Hatcher, Gainsville,
FL; Mitchell Hatcher, Dothan, AL; Joe Hatcher,
George (Shameka) Surles, Union Springs, AL;
Danny (Ashley) Allums, Birmingham, AL; James
Edward Allums, Salt Lake City, UT and Kenith
(Paula) Baskin, Houston, TX.
He also leaves to cherish his precious memories
his favorite niece (as he called her), Tawanda
Hill, special loving and devoted friends
Laquanda Mack, Eddie Lewis, Keela Wheeler,
Sammy Benton and Derrick Cobb; a host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
