Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mrs. Jennifer "JP" Lee Murry Pickett of Fitzgerald, GA.
A native of Midway, AL and fondly known and loved as āJPā, Jennifer transitioned into eternity during the early morning hours of October 16, 2022, at her residence.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at The Henderson Memorial Chapel of Fitzgerald, GA.
Public visitation will also be held Friday, October 21, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Final Celebration of Life at Graveside will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery of Midway.
Pastor Thomas E. Shipman of the Whitewater Missionary Baptist Church of Troy, AL will deliver the message of comfort.
Jennifer Pickett was born on August 14, 1966 to the late Rev. Arthur Murry, Sr. and Mrs. Arlean Murry in Miami, Florida.
Jennifer began her education in the Dade County Schools of Miami, FL. At an early age, her family moved to Midway, AL, and continued her education in the Bullock County School System.
Jennifer always had a passion for cooking. She loved cookouts and family gatherings and always volunteered for kitchen duties. She was an avid enthusiast that loved amusement parks, camping, and road trips. She didn't miss an opportunity to do the things she loved.
Jennifer transitioned to eternity at her home in Fitzgerald, GA.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Octavius Murry; brother, James Murry; two nephews, and her grandparents.
Jennifer leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted companion, Jimmie Warren; a loving and devoted mother, Arlean Murry; four sisters: Earlene Murry, Kathey Murry, Elaine Murry, and Mrs. Mae (John) Jones; four brothers: Jim Person, Sr., Arthur Murry, Jr., Henry Murry, and Robert Murry, Sr.; a lifelong devoted friend of 34 years, Janice Patrick; four aunts: Willie Pearl Crawl, Willie Mae Morgan, Vassie James, and Fannie Murry; one uncle, Roy Murray; special friends, Carolyn Milbry, Sammie Phillips, Brandi Dugger, and Shatika Benton; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and co-workers.
