Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Jeffrey Darnell Tarver. Jr., 25, of Union Springs, Alabama on March 22, 2018.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, March 31,2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the sanctuary of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Union Springs, Alabama.
Words of comfort will be delivered by the Rev. Gary Lewis, pastor.
Interment will follow in the St. Paul Baptist Cemetery, Armstrong Community.
Mr. Tarver will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.
Public visitation will be held Friday, March 30, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
Jeffrey Darrell Tarver Jr. “Poppa” was born on December 20, 1992 to Jeffrey Derrall Tarver and Pamelin Robinson in Union Springs, Alabama. Poppa was a happy, joking, funny and loving person. Jeffrey “Poppa” Tarver confessed belief in Christ and joined Mount Cannan Baptist Church at an early age.
Poppa escaped this mortal realm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the age of 25. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ms. Dianne Swanson; uncle, Darnie Swanson; great great-grandmother, Granny Annie Mae Tarver and special friend, Fredrick Wheeler.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one child that he adored and loved, Little Miss Deyjah Tarver; his Parents: Jeffrey Derrall (Valerie) Tarver and Pamelin Robinson; Special Stepfather, David; grandfather, James Tolbert; Sisters: Jelissa (Maurice) Davis, Kimbretta (Bradley) Banks, Shannon (Bryce) Tarver, and Sha’Myiah Robinson; Brothers: Keshawn Webb, Leroy Griffin, Ja’Quarius Tarver, and Ja’Keyvion Tarver, all of Union Springs, AL.; Grandparents: Victoria (Willie Lee) Tarver and Mrs. Edna Shell; Great great-grandmothers: Catherine (Marcus) Swanson and Alice (Clarence) Swift; Aunts: Likedia (Darryl) Jackson, Katrina Tarver, Kimberly Tarver, Michelle Swanson, Letisha Swanson, Michi Robinson, Jacqueline Swanson, Brittany Swanson, Rosa (Joshua) Sellers, Beverly Robinson and Racquel Robinson; Uncles: Terrance Robinson, Shawn (Seneca) Robinson, Leo Robinson, and Leon Robinson; a host of nephews, nieces, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends; and special friends: Justin Vaughn and Justin Hollingworth.
