Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mrs. Irene Williams Anglin, 79, of Midway, Alabama on January 15, 2020.
Mrs. Anglin a devoted homemaker in the Mt. Andrew Community loved to spend her free time taking care of her family and fishing.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 3:00 pm from the sanctuary of the Center Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. D. Moore, Pastor.
The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor, Elton L. Heath of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Midway, AL.
Interment will follow in the Center Ridge Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Anglin will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.
Public visitation will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Irene Williams Anglin was born October 2, 1940. The daughter of the late Lawrence and Hattie Williams, Irene was educated in the Public Schools of Barbour County, Alabama.
She was a member of the Center Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and loved spending her free time housekeeping, fishing and taking care of her family. Irene exchanged life for eternity on January 15, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Dean Anglin; one daughter, Janet Marie Williams, one grandchild, LaToya Marie Posey, her siblings, Lillie Mae “Too Jack” Haines, Edward “Black Diamond” Williams, and her in-laws, Charlie Haines, C.W. McClain, Arthur Daniels, and Walter Anglin.
Fond earthly memories of Irene will be cherished by her children, Johnnie Mae Posey, Eufaula, AL; Eddie Dean (Mary) Anglin, Haines City, FL; James Otis (Debra) Williams, Valdosta, GA; Annette Williams, Trinette Glover, and Lacey Williams, all of Midway, AL: her siblings, Mattie Bell McClain, Dorothy “Dot” Daniels, Mary Lee ”Mae” Erving, Hattie Pearl “Black Gal” Anglin and Robert Lee “ Boont” Williams; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and caring friends.
