Carter Funeral Home humbly and honorably announces the peaceful transition of Ms. Helen Louise Henry (88) of Union Springs, AL. Ms. Henry, transitioned into eternity on August 31, 2022, in Montgomery, AL.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, September 9, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11:00 am from the Mason Cemetery of Union Springs, AL. Pastor Roosevelt Grant of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church will deliver the message of comfort.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
Helen Louise Henry was born in Union Springs, Alabama, May 1, 1934, to Collie Henry and Mary Ann Flournoy Henry.
She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Elizabeth Baptist Church, Union Springs, AL. Helen was reared in the Aberfoil Community; later in life, she moved to Union Springs. She attended St. Luke Baptist Church under the leadership of the beloved and faithful servant of God, Pastor Willie B. Hill. One of her favorite scriptures is Psalm 37:7, โRest in the Lord, and wait patiently for himโฆโ
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, two children: Linda Henry and Charles Henry; four grandchildren: Marque Robbins, Derek Cobb, Jr., Martavis Henry, and Alicia Henry. Helen is the last of her siblings to leave this earthly world: Mary Lee, Ethel Clyde, Annie Grace, Mae Bell, Anna Ree, Juanita, Eldora, Algie Lee, Willie Clarence, Lawrence, George Edward, James and John.
She leaves to cherish her memories: five loving and devoted daughters, Mary Helen (Lawrence) Shuler, Brenda (Clifford) Grant, Marilyn Cobb, Regina Leonard, and Franchess Ka Henry; one devoted son, Harold (Rebecca) Henry; one devoted niece, Felicia Hudson; one devoted nephew, Richard Henry; twelve loving and caring grandchildren, Angelia, Katrina, ShaVonn, C.J., Nikki, Kevin, Devonn, DeAndre, Kenneth, Adrian, Shanitra, and Nai; along with a host of many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family near and far.
