Carter Funeral Home respectfully announces the transition of Mr. Gregory Jackson, 49, of Midway, Alabama on October 22, 2017.
Born July 26, 1968, Mr. Jackson was married to the former Peggy Lee of Midway, Alabama.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 12:00 noon from the sanctuary of the Hayes Hill Baptist Church of Midway, Alabama.
The eulogy will be delivered by the pastor, Rev. Henry Streeter.
Interment will follow in the Hayes Hill Cemetery
Mr. Jackson will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.
Visitation for families and friends will be Friday. October 27, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
Gregory B. Jackson was born July 26, 1968 in Tuskegee, Alabama to the late Jim and Elizabeth Jackson. He confessed Christ at an early age at Nero Baptist Church, and later moved his membership to the Hayes Hill Baptist Church, Midway, Alabama. Gregory leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and caring wife: Peggy L. Jackson; five (5) children: Terrance and Yakito Lee of Midway, AL., Lena Jackson of Phenix City, AL., Gregory R. Lanier of Hurtsboro, AL., and Jerel R. Jackson of Columbus, GA.; two (2) grandchildren: Terrance Lee, Jr. and Ma’Riya L. Jackson; eight (8) brothers: (one preceded him in death), Jerome Williams, Jim Jackson, Jr. of Hurstboro, AL., Johnny (Latesia) Jackson of Eufaula, AL., Walker Jackson of Jacksonville, FL., Michael D. Williams of Tuskegee, AL., Robert D. Jackson of Columbus, GA., Clarence (Karla) Jackson of Montgomery, AL., and Roosevelt (Beverly) Williams of Detroit, MI.; seven (7) sisters: (two who preceded him in death) Mary Catherine Jackson-Tolbert, Nancy (Ted) Randolph, Maxine (Jeremiah) Lee of Detroit, MI., Betty (Wallace) Jackson of Seale, AL., Elizabeth (General) Grant of Lato, AL., Fannie Cobb of Smith Station, AL., and his baby sister, Sandra (Bruce) Lee of Phenix City, AL.; and a host of special nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; aunts; uncles; cousins; and other relatives and friends
