Obituary For Gigretta La’Shaun Moore

Celebrating the life of Ms. Gigretta La’Shaun Moore, Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Ms. Moore, age 32 of Montgomery, AL.

Ms. Moore, briskly and unexpectedly transitioned into eternity, August 28, 2022, in Union Springs, AL.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, September 9, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Cemetery of the Aberfoil Community.

Pastor Timothy Blakely of the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Mathews, AL will deliver the eulogy

In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

Gigretta La’Shaun Moore was born October 12, 1989 to the late Elbert Ellis and Dorothy Moore.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church.

Our beloved mother,sister, and daughter went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her grandmothers, Freddie Mae Penn and Carrie C. Moore.

Gigretta leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Eva J.C. Rogers and Ky’Mari D. Rogers; her mother, Dorothy Moore; four sisters, Quintana (Chanel) Moore, Quinteria (Dramell), Latrisha and Natrisha Baskin, all of Union Springs, AL; one brother, Jermaine Moore, Union Springs, AL; step-mother, Kimberly Ellis; three step-brothers, Antjuan (Marikey) Peebles, Cedric Peebles, CheRod Peebles, one step-sister, Kasheik Lambert; special friend, Brian Chris Rogers, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the Final Life Celebration Arrangements for the late Ms. Gigretta L. Moore.
