Obituary For Elijah Holmes
With heartfelt sympathy, the Staff of Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Elijah Holmes, Jr.
Mr. Holmes transitioned into eternity Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the age of 78.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, February 13, 2026, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00pm from the sanctuary of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3431 Lee Loop Rd., Union Springs, AL.
The eulogy will be given by Reverend Willie Hubbard, Jr.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the End-of-Life Care of the late Mr. Elijah Holmes, Jr.
