Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Derrick Kentrell Walker of the Mt. Andrew Community, Midway, AL.
Mr. Walker, age 43, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, June 30, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11:00 am from the sanctuary of the Center Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, of the Mt. Andrew Community, Rev. D. Moore, Pastor.
The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Joe N. Grey of the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the Center Ridge Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Derrick Kentrell Walker was born February 24, 1980, to the late Charles Roy and Dorothy Dean Rumph Walker.
Left to cherish earthly memories are two sisters, Vivian Walker of Clayton, AL and Kavondra Walker of Ozark, AL: three brothers, Terry Rumph, Birmingham, AL, Eddie (Tina) Rumph. St. Louis, MO and William Rumph, Union Springs, AL his special cousin that was raised like a sister, Regina Faniel, Midway, Al, five nieces, five nephews, three great nieces and nine great nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
