Dennis James Fowler was born December 31, 1971 to James and Sallie Fowler in Trenton, New Jersey. Quietly on Friday, February 21, 2020 the Lord called him home. Dennis grew-up attending St. Phillips Baptist Church of Hamilton Township, New Jersey but later joined New Hope Baptist Church in Atlantic City, NJ, where he first gave his life to the Lord and became a faithful member.
Dennis attended Hamilton High School West and graduated in 1990. He continued his education at Mercer County Community College where he studied Electronic Technology. Although Dennis proved to work well with his hands his career path directed him towards working with youth.
Dennis worked for the Glen Mills School in Glen Mills, PA as a youth worker for 7 years. He then returned to New Jersey where he was employed with the Mercer County Youth Detention Center as a Corrections Officer. Before starting his venture as an entrepreneur, he worked for the Youth Advocate Program in Hadden Heights, New Jersey.
Dennis has a love for 3 things in life…Sports, Music and Family. He would spend countless hours attending sporting events of his nieces and nephews. He also loved writing, recording and performing music. He did this with lifelong friends Charlie, Frankie, Kyle, Jamont and Rad (deceased).
Dennis's love for family did not fall far from the tree. He always took time to visit family, friends and loved ones. He would always take the time to listen, share advice, laugh and even cry with you. There wasn’t anything Dennis wouldn’t do for a close family or friend. When he loved you…you knew it, because he would tell you so.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins. Cherishing his love and memories are his Parents-James and Sallie Fowler; Brother-Anthony (Carla) Fowler; Sisters-Crystal Fowler all of Montgomery, AL and Janet (Gregory) Frazier of Glen Mills, PA; Great Aunts-Janet Steward of Plant City FL, Bessie House and Arlena Fowler of Midway, AL, Mary Estella of Talladega, AL, Maddie Bell Ellis of Montgomery, AL, Sally Bee Lane of Troy, AL and Dorothy Jean Lane of St. Petersburg, FL; Aunts-Rosia Webb of Hamilton Twp., NJ; Jonnie Bell Anglin and Arthur Jean Scott of Haines City, FL; Julia Streeter of Detroit, MI; Lessie Pearl Streeter and Joanne Streeter of Midway, AL and Barbara Streeter of Trenton, NJ; Nieces-Shamariah Johnson, Ashley Reese, Tashika (TJ) Harris, Ambrielle Scarver & Kenya Fowler; Nephews-Steven Arkuszewski and Brandon Frazier; Great Nieces-MaKayla Bunch, McKenzie Bunch and Aniyah Newman; Great Nephew-Tristian Harris; Special friends-Charles Upshur, Kyle Johnson and Rachel Callahan along with a host of cousins, other family and friends.
