Obituary For Debbie C. Taylor
With humble respect the Staff of Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mrs. Debbie C Taylor, 60, of Union Springs, Alabama on September 30, 2018.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 at 12:00 noon from the sanctuary of the Wayman Chapel AME Church of Union Springs, Rev. Ronald C. Smith, pastor
The message of comfort will be delivered by Pastor G.Morris of the New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Interment will follow all services in Mason Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor will lie in repose at the Church one prior to Celebration of Life Services.
Debbie C. Taylor affectionately known as “Toot” and Gramps was born the second child of the late Mattie Martin and Reverend Joel Caldwell Sr. She departed this life on September 30, 2018 at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview Florida. Debbie confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Wayman Chapel AME Church. She later joined New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher as well as a leader in women ministries until her untimely demise. While active in the church, Debbie worked for the State of Alabama for over twenty years.
Debbie is preceded in death by her husband George Taylor, her first grandson Antionne M. Caldwell Jr., Varn Seail Martin, William (Chick) Martin and her mother Mattie Louise Martin.
She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters Shelaykea S. (James) Caldwell, Shimauda (Arthur) Caldwell of Columbus, GA., Krystle Klear Peebles, Jaleshia (Antonio) Caldwell all of Temple, TX. and one son Antionne (Nikki) Caldwell Sr. of Union Springs, AL. Goddaughter Elodies Grubbs of Clayton, AL. Seven sisters, Vivan Caldwell, Mae Caldwell of Union Springs, AL, Winona (Derrick) Howard, Sandra (Anthony) Gooden, Chantrece Martin of Oxford, AL, Charlotte (Andrew) Caldwell of Springfield, MA, and Leona (Timmie) Tatum of Crestview, FL. Four brothers, Joel Caldwell Jr. of Union Springs, AL, James (Anita) Howard, Carzell (Mary) Caldwell of Greenville, AL, and Christopher (Shonda) Howard of Oxford, AL. She leaves behind twelve beautiful grandchildren along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins, including her special cousin Bessie Washington. Precious memories will also be cherished by a host of special friends including Sonja Frazier, Keshia Crawford, Reverend Zinc Fishoe, and Elodies “Moonk” Grubbs, and the Class of 1977.
