Celebrating the legacy of Mr. DeAndrea Smith, Carter Funeral Home humbly announces the peaceful transition of Mr. Smith, age 36 on March 22, 2022, in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Monday, March 28, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 11:00 am at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Cemetery of the Armstrong Community, Tuskegee, AL. The message of comfort will be delivered by Pastor Gary Lewis of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Union Springs, AL.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
DeAndrea Smith was born to Ms. Linda Smith and the late Mr. William โBillโ Harvey on December 15, 1985. He departed this life on March 22, 2022, at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL.
At an early age, DeAndrea confessed his life to Christ and joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Tuskegee, AL. He attended South Macon High School and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 2004. Following graduation, DeAndrea attended Auburn University in Montgomery, AL, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
DeAndreaโs career began at the YMCA and Montessori School at Hampstead in Montgomery, AL. He was currently employed at George Washington Carver Elementary School in Tuskegee, AL until his demise.
DeAndrea had an all-around caring personality for his family, friends, fellow faculty, staff, and students. He always had a warm and friendly smile and shared words of encouragement.
