Obituary For Cora Lampley
Carter Funeral Home humbly and honorably announces the peaceful transition of Ms. Cora Lampley (77) of Midway, Alabama.
Ms. Lampley, transitioned into eternity on April 24, 2022, at the Southern Springs Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Union Springs, while under the watchful care of her healthcare providers.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, April 29, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 am at Fellowship Baptist Cemetery, Midway, AL. Pastor William Joe Glover of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church will deliver the message of triumph and comfort
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
Ms. Cora Lampley was born July 30, 1944 to the late Ernest Lampley, Sr. and Charlie Mae Harris Lampley in the Pine Grove Community in Bullock County. She was the sixth of ten children. Cora entered into Holy rest, Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Southern Springs Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
Cora confessed to Christ at an early age. She left home and moved to Columbus, GA. Years later, she moved back home. Cora is also preceded in death by seven siblings and other relatives.
Cora leaves to cherish her love and memories, two loving sisters: Mattie Kate and Mary Jane Lampley, Midway, AL; one brother: Theodis (Dorcia) Foster, West Palm Beach, FL; one sister-in-law: Mayola Lampley, West Palm Beach, FL; one brother-in-law, Barry Tarver, Midway, AL; a very dedicated nephew: Christopher Tarver; nieces: Brenda Tarver, Tara Tarver, Katrina Tarver, Felicia Gibbs, Danielle Martin, Calettia Smith, and Edna Lampley; nephews: Michael Lampley, Howard Lampley, Bruce Lampley, Gary Lampley, Morris Lampley, Brian Lampley, and Martez Hurts; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
