Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mrs. Christine Graves Foster, (60) of Midway, Alabama.
Christine, a graduate of the Bullock County High School Class of 1982, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, while surrounded by the loving care of her family.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Thursday February 16, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration at Graveside will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Mt. Azure Missionary Baptist Cemetery, Midway, AL.
The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Bruce Burks of the Mt. Azure, Oak Grove and Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Churches.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
Christine Graves Foster was born April 23, 1962 to the late C.B. and Rosie B. Graves.
She confessed to Christ at an early age at Mt. Azure Missionary Baptist Church in the Three Notch Community, Midway, Al.
Christine attended Bullock County High School and graduated with the class of 1982. Following graduation from high school Chris served honorably in the United States Army and United States Army Reserves for more than 15 years. She worked many years at Hanil USA in Tallassee Al until her health failed her.
Christine is preceded in death by her parents: C.B. and Rosie B. Graves; four brothers: Eugene Graves, C.B. Graves, Jr., Willie James Graves, Otis Graves; sister: Lillie B. Graves; and nephew Gregory Graves.
Christine went home to be with Christ on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
She leaves many loved ones to cherish her precious memories: Her devoted husband of 42 years Mose Foster; loving son Cedric Foster; two grandchildren Sheletha and Deshawn Foster; three sisters Mary Harris of Midway, Alabama, Talisha Farmer, Montgomery, Alabama, Sharon Parker-Newton, Atlanta, Georgia; four brothers: L.C. Graves of Midway, Alabama, U.S. Army Retired Jessie James (Mary Anne) Graves of Huntsville, Alabama, Glenn Graves of Fairport, New York, Edward Graves of Hurtsboro, Alabama; three sisters-in-law: Annie Kimber and Ellen (Jeffery) Scott of Midway, Alabama and Cynthia F. James of Hampton, Virginia; one brother-in-law: Jerry (Eileen) Kimber of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Special friends: Betty Goshay, Dorothy Carruthers, Mercherrie Owens; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
